The Task

High quality Photography of various glassware collections that will be displayed online and printed in catalogs.

My Role

The client had various sets of glassware that needed to be professionally photographed, so I took my studio set up on the road and worked on site.

My Process

First thing was to set up a light box and determine how many strobe lights were needed. Then the strobe system was dialed in to achieve an image with nice tonal grading and highlights. Black poster board was added in the background to create reflective contrast. Every piece of product was carefully cleaned and handled with care to ensure no fingerprints would turn up in the shot. Image processing included color correction, close cropping, enhancement and drop shadows were applied to each image. Final files were set at 300dpi for print production and at 72dpi for web usage.

The Outcome

The final product was visually stunning. I set the final images in just the right tonal range so that they would reproduce properly in printed media and online.
